Power Quality Analysis and Harmonics
This practical course provides you with methods and procedures used internationally in evaluating obtained data Power Quality Analysis (PQA). This course will equip attendees with the knowledge on different Power Quality Disturbances that affects most sensitive equipment in electrical system and how to mitigate them. Moreover, harmonics mitigation will be an important subject as it creates unwanted energy that distort nominal power requirements of the system. Correct PQA meter installation and evaluation will then also be very essential in gathering needed data for the detection of problems
Now with the engineers having the knowledge in PQA, will formulate a way to deal with these problems to assess and safely maintain electrical systems in their respective fields.
Objectives:
At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:
- How, when and where to use a power quality analyzer, know power quality monitoring techniques
- Identify different power quality disturbances
- Origin and effects of power quality disturbances
- Specify solutions to mitigate every power quality disturbances
- Knowledge in Harmonics and Noise
- Basic design of harmonic filters and specifying the transformer K factor rating
Who Should Attend:
