COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Companies want to ensure that their products, processes, and systems are able to sustainably achieve the desired results with the most efficient outcome. The FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) is a tool that allows for a comprehensive assessment of these three as it facilitates the identification of what can go wrong, what impact these have to the organization, and which mitigation efforts need to be prioritized. Criticality Analysis and risk assessment techniques is a pivotal element of this course as it emphasizes in the formulation reliable maintenance processes and systems for various industries.

  • Identifying System, Functions, and Failure modes.
  • Failure Effects and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Exercises and Basic Tools for RCA
  • Criticality calculations.
  • Identifying High Risks and Priorities.
  • Formulating Plans for Mitigation.
  • Following up on corrective action implementation and effectiveness.
  1. Criticality Analysis and Risk Assessment: 
  • Understanding Severity, Occurrence, and Detection ratings.
  • Calculating the Risk Priority Number (RPN).
  • Calculation Exercises
  • Analyze and Prioritize Failure Modes
