SUMMARY:Navigating Changes
DESCRIPTION:Click here to REGISTER \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION:\n  \n They say that the only thing constant in the world is change. The same goes for any manager or leader. No leader can be at their best without knowing how to navigate change. Changes happen in the workplace often that it becomes challenging for some employees to cope at times. People are creatures of habit and change isn’t often welcomed with open arms. A leader’s primary responsibility is to act as the catalyst for change. Helping people go through change must begin from the leader. Although change is mostly sudden\, there are some predictable aspects to change.\n  \n In this module\, we will look at these predictable aspects and learn how we can go through the changes starting from its initial communication to execution to its final phases. We will also study how people react to change and what we can do to manage these reactions. How do we make the most out of people and how can we ensure that they understand the change? We will attempt to cover this in the module.\n  \n COURSE OBJECTIVES:\n At the end of the module\, the participants shall:\n     *Understand the importance of embracing changes\n     *Learn and understand the different stages of change\n     *Learn best practices in communicating changes\n     *Know tips that would minimize people’s resistance when navigating change.\n  \n COURSE OUTLINE:\n  \n I – Understanding Change\n     A. What is Change?\n     B. Importance of Change\n     C. Characteristics of Change\n     D. Stages of Change\n  \n II – Managing The Change\n     A. Reactions to Change\n     B. Why Most People Resist Change\n     C. Communicating the Changes\n     D. Getting People’s Buy-In\n     E. Overcoming Resistance\n     F. Realism Vs. Optimism\n     G. Creativity In Solution Building\n  \n III – Final Activities \n \nRegistration Instructions:  \n1. SUMMARY:Medium Voltage Cable Splicing and Termination (with Hands-On)
DESCRIPTION:Click Here to REGISTER \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION: The course aims to enhance your knowledge about proper installation of high voltage cable splices and terminations. Installing and testing cables correctly can ensure an increased life and value for your cables and is therefore important in increasing the longevity of your investment. Any technicians\, electrical engineers\, and electricians that does installation and maintenance as well as trouble shooting of power cables will benefit from this course. \nThe Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) based in New York shares that inadequate testing and installation prior to initiating cable splices and termination are the main reasons for failures. However\, despite its importance\, cable splicing and testing professionals have dwindled in numbers over the past years. With a steady demand for trained professionals\, knowledge in this area is definitely an advantage for any electrical professional. \nCOURSE OBJECTIVES:\n     A. Understand and explain the components\, construction\, and structure of high voltage cables\n     B. Differentiate different cable types and their varying applications\n     C. Learn to properly prepare cables for splicing by using hand tools\, solvents\, and abrasives\n     D. Learn and identify causes of failures in splices and termination\n     E. Know the procedures relevant to OSHA safety requirements in relation to splices and termination \nWHO SHOULD ATTEND:\nAny technicians\, electrical engineers\, and electricians that does installation and maintenance as well as trouble shooting of high voltage power cables \nMETHODOLOGY:\nInteractive discussions\, activities\, lectures\, and hands-on training \nCOURSE OUTLINE:\nDay 1 \nI. Introduction\n     A.Transmission and distribution\n     B.Underground and overhead systems \nII. Underground Cables\n     A.Cable construction\n     B.Types of power cables\n     C.Cable configurations\n     D.Cable standards \nIII. Splicing Theory\n     A.Definition of cable splice\n     B.Functions of high voltage splice\n     C.Splice anatomy\n     D.Industry standards in cable jointing\n     E.Cable splicing technologies \nIV.
