COURSE DURATION: 8 Hours
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Problem Solving and Decision Making (PSDM) is usually a grueling task for most people. Often, we provide solutions that only address the immediately obvious issues. However, when we delve deeper, we may discover that there are still many other underlying issues. Because of this, problems may recur or lead to bigger problems. The 8D Decision Making Approach enables you the power to avoid these situations. It equips you with a step-by-step and organized process that allows you to address a problem by gathering multiple perspectives from your team. The approach also allows you to use tools to uncover the real root causes of an issue so you can provide long-term solutions to existing problems.
COMPETAD’s 8D Problem Solving and Decision Making Workshop is a one-day workshop that provides you with foundational knowledge and skills in effectively implementing and documenting your 8D PSDM approach.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Business leaders, managers, team members, and anyone who is involved in group or team problem solving.
COURSE METHODOLOGY: The workshop shall have a combination of interesting discussions as well as group and individual activities. Anecdotal references will be shared based on the facilitator’s experiences. There may also be multi-media presentations to help the participants understand the different concepts of 8D Problem Solving. At the end of the session, the participants will also practice how to document the 8D Problem Solving and Decision Making.
